The basic party invitation is a flat card inserted into a colored or coordinating envelope. You can find 2up or two invitations per letter sheet of paper or you can find 4up invitations. The more invitations that are on a sheet, the less you will have to print. Typically, the more formal the event, the larger the invite but this can vary depending on the type of venue you choose.
Select the design that works best for your theme and consider the amount of text you want to include. If there is not much text and its more of a casual “Hey, come on over to Bob’s house for a party night”, then a smaller 4up invitation would suffice.
If the party is a milestone birthday such as 1st, 13th, 15th, 16th, 18th, 21st, 40th, or 50th, it may require a special type of announcement which you can still create via a template. There are a large variety of layouts available that will fit any party’s needs.
Invitations via email can often get lost in someone’s inbox. When they receive a hard copy or tangible invite in the mail, chances are it will be displayed as a reminder and will keep the date upfront to the recipient. Emails also have more chances of not being received since it can go into someone’s junk or spam folder. There are other electronic birthday invitations that you can do on the internet but statistics show that most people do not respond well to those types of electronic forms of invitations. May be as we continue to move forward through the years and paper is completely eliminated, those electronic forms will become more popular.
